Post a Company Review

How public company reviews work on Expertini, and what they're actually used for.

Public company review pages (linked from every organisation's public profile) let candidates who've interacted with an employer leave a review — this page covers how the review and reply system actually works.

01Who can post a review

Reviews are tied to a real interaction with the hiring organisation — typically a candidate who applied or interviewed — moderated before publishing to filter fake and clearly abusive content, not to suppress negative-but-legitimate feedback.

02Employer replies

An organisation can reply publicly to a review from its own dashboard, giving both sides of a hiring-experience story equal visibility on the public profile rather than only the candidate's account.

03How ratings roll up

A company's average rating and review count are recomputed live whenever a review is approved or a reply is posted — denormalised onto the org's public profile so it always reflects current state without a separate manual recalculation step.

04Writing a review that's actually useful

The reviews future candidates learn from describe the process, not just the verdict: how long each stage took, whether communication was clear, whether the interview matched the posted role, whether rejection came with an actual answer. "Terrible company" and "great place!" both carry near-zero information; "three rounds over five weeks, clear updates after each, final decision took two weeks with a genuine explanation" tells the next applicant exactly what to expect. Reviews about a hiring experience should stick to that experience — a dispute about employment itself, pay, or something legally contentious belongs in channels built for it, not a hiring review.

05For employers: reviews as free process data

It's tempting to treat public reviews as a reputation threat to manage. The more useful frame: they're the unfiltered version of the feedback Candidate Surveys collect systematically, and patterns across them point at real process problems — repeated mentions of slow feedback are a time-to-hire issue with a public audience. A calm, factual reply to a negative review consistently reads better to future candidates than either silence or defensiveness; the reply is really addressed to the hundreds of people who'll read the exchange later, not the one reviewer. And a "Verified" badge on the profile (an active paid Pro/Enterprise subscription — see the Safety Center) gives candidates independent context that the employer behind the page is real.

Mistoqsijiet frekwenti

Can an employer pay to remove a negative review?
No. Moderation filters fake and clearly abusive content — negative-but-legitimate feedback stays up, and the reply mechanism exists so the employer's side of the story can stand next to it.
Do reviews affect how an employer's jobs are ranked or scored?
No — candidate scoring and job visibility are independent of the review system. Reviews inform candidates; they don't algorithmically punish or boost listings.
